What makes us different...
This is not your average exercise class! At Maya Yoga we believe that each
individual is more than just a body. We come to the mat to return to wholeness...body, mind, and spirit. Therefore,
we take a holistic approach to our practice. We believe that you can read a book about self-improvement. You can
go talk to a therapist about how to fix things. You can take a pill in hopes of feeling better. OR you can make
it an EVERY CELL OF YOUR BODY EXPERIENCE!
We incorporate the following into most of our classes: Aromatherapy,
Ayurveda (Ancient sister science of healthcare), Pranayama (Breathing techniques), Mudras (Hand gestures), Mantras and Affirmations,
Yoga therapies and "Self-Chiropractic", and best of all, a good dose of laughter and fun!
Nancy Jo Rademacker has been serving the Batavia area by teaching yoga and meditation
for the past 18 years. When Maya Yoga opened in early 2013, it was her intention to share her love for this practice
and the healing possibilities with her hometown.
